  • Free

    Perfect for individuals who want to try HappyScribe for free

    • Price: Free

    • Includes:

      • 10-minute free trial of AI Transcription, Subtitling and Translation

      • Unlimited meeting recordings

      • 45 minutes per recording

      • AI Notetaker with meeting summaries

      • Automatic speaker detection

      • Export files in DOCX, TXT, SRT and MP4 (watermarked)

      • Integrations with Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, YouTube, Vimeo, Drive, Box, and Dropbox

      • 3 Ask AI uses per month

    • Human proofreading available: from $2.00/min

  • Basic

    Great for individuals with light transcription needs

    • Price: $17/month (or $8.50/month if billed annually)

    • Includes:

      • 120 minutes of AI transcription, subtitling, and translation per month

      • Additional credits at $0.20/min

      • Unlimited meeting recordings (90 minutes per recording)

      • 20 Ask AI uses

      • 1 user seat included

      • Everything in Free, plus:

        • Remove watermark from video exports

        • 1,440 minutes of AI credits per year (annual plan)

    • Human proofreading available: from $2.00/min

  • Pro

    Best for professionals and small teams needing more capacity

    • Price: $29/month (or $19/month if billed annually)

    • Includes:

      • 600 minutes of AI transcription, subtitling, and translation per month

      • Additional credits at $0.20/min

      • Unlimited meeting recordings with unlimited duration

      • Unlimited Ask AI uses

      • 3 user seats included (additional seats available at $29/month each)

      • Everything in Basic, plus:

        • Export subtitles in multiple formats (VTT, STL, XML, FCPXML, EDL, etc.)

        • Customize Notetaker branding

        • 7,200 minutes of AI credits per year (annual plan)

    • Human proofreading available: from $2.00/min

  • Business

    Ideal for teams and agencies with larger workloads

    • Price: $89/month (or $59/month if billed annually)

    • Includes:

      • 6,000 minutes of AI transcription, subtitling, and translation per month

      • Additional credits at $0.20/min

      • Unlimited meeting recordings with unlimited duration

      • Unlimited Ask AI uses

      • 5 user seats included (additional seats available at $29/month each)

      • Everything in Pro, plus:

        • Workspace roles & permissions

        • Unlimited Style guides and Glossaries

        • 72,000 minutes of AI credits per year (annual plan)

    • Human proofreading available: from $1.90/min

  • Enterprise

    If your usage exceeds the Business tier or you need enterprise-grade support and controls, contact our team to discuss a tailored plan. Enterprise includes:

    • Premium customer support

    • Dedicated account management

    • SSO/SAML and advanced workspace features

    • Everything in the Business plan plus scalable usage limitslarge amount of hours, to discuss this further!

💡 With all annual subscriptions, you will now receive all your subscription hours at once to use throughout the year, rather than having your credits renewed each month.


How credits work

Each plan gives you minutes (credits) that you use for AI transcription, subtitling, and translation. Credits refresh every billing period and don’t carry over if unused.

How can I upgrade my plan?

Easy: upgrade your plan from your dashboard and pay with your bank card. If you need to discuss more payment options, contact us or press the chat button. You can also add your business VAT ID in the Billing section to ensure invoices are displayed correctly. Additionally, Happy Scribe supports a variety of payment methods, including Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Revolut Pay, and Amazon Pay.


How can I cancel my subscription?

We completely respect your decision and freedom of choice. You can do so by going to Settings & members > Billing, scrolling down, and pressing the button Cancel subscription.

Can I use HappyScribe for a one-off project?

If you'd like to use the Automatic (AI) service:

  • Yes, you can. While we no longer offer a pay-as-you-go Starter plan, you can still complete a one-off project by subscribing to any of our paid plans. All subscriptions include AI transcription, subtitling, and translation credits. You can sign up, use your included minutes for your project, and cancel anytime to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle.

  • Your subscription will stay active until the end of the current billing period, so you’ll continue to have access to your files and all features until then.

If you'd like to use the Human-made service:

  • The Human-made service would allow you to purchase the files/projects individually at a per-minute rate.

  • You can find the pricing for this service in this article.

  • This service does not require a subscription.
