What are the different plans available on Happy Scribe?

Depending on how you use Happy Scribe, we have a few options available. Read on below or check out our pricing page!

    • No card required

    • Free trial of the first 10 minutes of the first file uploaded

    • Export of the file not allowed

  • Basic

    • 120 minutes per month (limited to one Workspace)

    • Share and collaborate with guests

    • Export transcriptions in Word and TXT

    • Export subtitles in SRT and MP4

    • 1 user

  • Pro

    • 300 minutes per month (limited to one Workspace)

    • Share and collaborate with guests

    • Export transcriptions in Word, TXT and PDF

    • Export subtitles in 10+ format types: SRT, MP4, VTT, STL, HTML, XML, FCPXML, EDL, JSON, CSV, TXT, DOCX, and more

    • 1 user

    • Create private projects

    • Analytics and spending reports

  • Business

    • 600 minutes per month (limited to one Workspace)

      • Possibility of purchasing additional buckets of 5, 15, 40, or 90 hours for monthly subscriptions.

      • For annual subscriptions, if you purchase additional buckets of hours, you will need to stay with this amount until the end of your commitment.

    • Share and collaborate with guests

    • Export transcriptions in Word, TXT and PDF

    • Export subtitles in 10+ format types: SRT, MP4, VTT, STL, HTML, XML, FCPXML, EDL, JSON, CSV, TXT, DOCX, and more

    • 3 seats included

    • If your use is larger than the plans available and you consistently need a large amount of hours, contact our team to discuss this further!


Are the hours accumulable?

The hours included in the subscription are non-accumulable, meaning any unused credit will not be carried over to the following month.

Instead, the hours will refresh into a new set of hours at the beginning of the next billing period.


How can I upgrade my plan?

Easy: upgrade your plan from your dashboard and pay with your bank card. If you need to discuss more payment options, contact us or press the chat button.


How can I cancel my subscription?

We completely respect your decision and freedom of choice. You can do so by going to Settings & members > Billing, scrolling down, and pressing the button Cancel subscription.

Can I use Happy Scribe for a one-off project?

If you'd like to use the Automatic (AI) service:

  • If you want to use Happy Scribe on a one-off basis, then you can subscribe just for the month you need our services.

  • Our plans can be viewed on our pricing page.

  • You can cancel monthly plans anytime.

  • You'd still be able to use our services until the end of that billing period.

If you'd like to use the Human-made service:

  • The Human-made service would allow you to purchase the files/projects individually at a per-minute rate.

  • You can find the pricing for this service in this article.

  • This service does not require a subscription.
