Dubbing FAQ

What type of files can I upload to be dubbed?

  • You can export an MP4 of the original video with the dubbed audio

  • You can export the script in many export formats; we default to docx with speakers enabled

  • Other formats available for the script:

Text document (.txt), PDF (.pdf), Word (.docx), SubRip (.srt), WebVTT (.vtt), EBU-STL (.stl),Facebook SRT (.srt), Avid Markers (.txt), Avid DS (.txt), Avid with on-screen timecodes (.txt), Interactive Transcript (.html), Premiere Pro Markers (.xml), Final Cut Pro (.fcpxml), Maxqda (.txt), JSON (.json), DaVinci Resolve Markers (.edl), Excel (.csv)

What voice will I get by default?

By default, you will get your files back with soft cloned voices applied to your media file.
The voice is very similar to the original, but it’s not the exact same—we maintain a slight difference. You will be able to adjust voice settings to change voice similarity, stability, and style exaggeration.

Can I change speakers’ voices?

Yes, if you prefer different voices for your speakers, you can choose from our voice library.

You will have several selected voices available that best suit the target language.

Can I create my own voices?

For now, it is not possible to design and create your own voices. Feel free to reach out if the options given do not suit your needs!

Tips for making voices sound better

  • Adjust the segment's length (hence speed); sometimes splitting the segment in two helps

  • Play with voice settings (as seen in the "What voice will I get by default?" section), such a similarity or stability

  • Play with the punctuation

  • Choose another voice (as seen in the "Can I change speakers’ voices?" section)
